Big Brother is the thirty-third episode of the first season of Sea Princesses.

Synopsis[]

Tubarina's brother, Veto, is coming home. Tubarina isn't overjoyed because everyone's attention is on him! Tubarina discovers a secret of Veto's, but will she really blackmail her own brother?

Plot[]

While Polvina and Ester are painting Tentie and Spikey for their Paint-a-Pet project, a distraught Tubarina comes in and tells them that her brother, Veto, is coming home. When asked why she thinks it is bad, she tells them that when Veto comes home, everyone fusses over him, meaning that she won’t be the centre of attention. Ester tells her that she can put up with her brother for a few weeks, but Tubarina says that it is impossible.

Veto comes home and is warmly greeted by his parents and Marcello. Just as they head to dinner, Veto asks Tubarina to take his case to his room. After dinner, Veto asks Tubarina to clean up. Just as Tubarina finds Gummy so she can do her Paint-a-Pet project, Veto borrows Tubarina’s pencils, paints, brushes and paper.

The next morning, the Shark King is about to take Tubarina on an inspection of the kingdom when Veto comes down and asks if he can go as well. An annoyed Tubarina heads up into Veto’s room to get her paints back when she finds a painting of the Shark King and Shark Queen along with a letter on the table. She later confronts Veto about it, saying that she will give the letter to their father if he doesn’t do as he say.

The next day, Tubarina tells Ester and Polvina about Veto and the letter; apparently, Veto wants to give up sport at school and do art instead, something that would anger the sports-mad Shark King, who hopes that Veto would become a champion. Disgusted, Polvina and Ester decide to leave. When Tubarina asks why, they tell her that since Veto has already learnt his lesson for bossing her around her entire life, continuing to blackmail him would make her just as bad as he was.

Under Polvina and Ester’s suggestion, Tubarina decides to give the letter back to Veto, only to find that he has decided to tell their father about his decision. The Shark King is angry at this, but when Tubarina comes in and supports her brother, he is happy for them as they have finally agreed on something and allows Veto to study art instead of sport. Tubarina’s image of Veto changes from then on to the point that she never stops talking about him to her friends, much to their annoyance.
