Caton is Marcello's friend and Ester's former love interest who is featured in The Crush.
Character history[]
Marcello introduces Caton, who is visiting from the faraway lands, to Polvina, Ester and Tubarina. Ester, who is usually disgusted at the concept of love and is good at seeing people for who they really are, falls in love with Caton at first sight and becomes obsessed with him to the point where she doesn't realise that he is treating her like a slave and ignorantly mispronouncing her name as "Esme". Polvina and Tubarina eventually catch Caton being mean to Gummy and they attempt to show it to Ester, but to no avail. When Ester makes a picnic for Caton and gets some time alone with him, she sees him being mean to Gummy and tells him to apologise, but he insults her, leading Ester to leave.
Speculation[]
Caton's crown and hair bears resemblance to a salmon, so it is likely that he is the Salmon Prince. It is unknown whether he has any relation to the Salmon Queen or her daughter from The Doll.
