The Itchy Wrists is the thirty-third episode of the second season of Sea Princesses.
Synopsis[]
Ester really wants a skin picture because it's such a cool and fashionable thing. Her parents tell her she can’t have it but she won’t be deterred.
Plot[]
Ester asks her parents if she can get a skin picture and they refuse. At school the next day, Ester laments this to Polvina and Tubarina. Vivi overhears this and offers to give Ester a skin picture, asking her to meet at Big Nose Rock after school. Ester heads there and meets with Vivi, who has a skin painting as well. Her parents didn’t let her get one, but she did so herself anyway with a skin painting maker.
Later, Polvina and Tubarina are at the Starfish Palace, having agreed to have dinner with Ester and her family. Ester returns and shows them the skin painting she got. She initially plans on convincing her mother later, but then she decides not to tell her. At the dinner table, Ester discovers that her wrist is itching and takes opportunities whenever she can to scratch it.
The next day, Ester’s wrist is still itchy. When they get to school, the girls discover that Vivi gave a few other girls skin paintings and their wrists are itching as well. After school, the girls discover that the Starfish Queen has heard of Vivi’s skin painting maker. Ester suddenly regrets her decision, but she is adamant on keeping her skin painting, trying to hold back from scratching herself in the hopes that Polvina and Tubarina will leave her alone. Polvina and Tubarina attempt to scrub Ester’s skin painting off, which leads to a chase. Ester’s wrist itches again, which causes her to bump into Big Nose Rock and faint.
Upon regaining consciousness, Ester discovers that her mother scrubbed the skin painting off. She is consequently punished by having to do gardening duty every weekend for a whole month and clean the kitchen and do the washing as well.
